Monitoring the complex platform is nowadays not an easy task. Systems are getting more, and more complex, and having a complete view on them is very difficult. High end monitoring platforms creates impression of giving complete insight into the platform, but typically it's rather just a morphine for stressed tech and management people, who have deep feeling that in fact they do not control that silicon beast.
